this is why i left - the unbearable traffic and crowding on mass transit.

i know - so why do i peruse fairfaxunderground?

i love some parts of the area - the District, Alex, some of Arlington....hated Fairfax County though. I miss the beauty of Washington and Alexandria. The culture, art....

but living there on a personal level was terrible. people were terrified to interact with a stranger. and they drive to bring stress on themselves. it just wasnt a way of life for me.
