Good places to smoke, drink, and drink coffee?

I'm new to the city, and I was wondering if anybody knows any good places to go and smoke my pipe (especially indoors). Also, where are the good coffee shops and bars?

broad street is cool, kinda laid back and local...


also CE 432 at PSU, should have taken CE 465 with Art Miller, "water flows down hill what is so hard about that"

Alas, places to smoke either my pipe or cigars seem to be in short supply, but if you want a spiffy coffee house, I suggest Perks on 50 between Graham and 7 Corners. It's about 2 doors down from Frozen Dairy Bar.

One of the partners is an accomplished French chef, and their pastries are excellent. I think they'll be getting an ABC license soon.

I don't think you can smoke inside, but they set up a couple of ourside tables when the weather is nice.

Capital Grill - there's one near Tyson's Corner (just off of Leesburge Pike @ International) as well as one in the district (DC). Pretty sure you can pipe it up all you want, they do with cigars so pretty sure pipes are welcome.

Perks is at the intersection of Annandale Road and Arlington Blvd (Rt. 50). It's in the strip mall adjacent to the IHOP.

Perks closed in 2007. It's now the Boardwalk Pizza and Frozen Dairy Bar combined into one place. Pretty cool in there. Separate lines for ice cream and food.
