How's your cell phone signal?

I don't know about y'all, but Sprint's 3G service has really fallen off a cliff in Springfield and Seven Corners during the last week or so. I can still get a signal in Annandale, Kingstowne, and along Duke Street in Alexandria, but nothing around Springfield Plaza.

I thought it was my new phone, but it really seems to depend on where I am.

1-Verizon: (the premium buy) cost most but is the best signal, never had signal problem anywhere and I live in a bad trouble spot, customer service is a sales team on the make though.

2-AT&T: (the value buy) better prices & better minutes (roll over), customer service more accommodating, signal good most everywhere but some trouble spot, but no dead spots, occasional dropped call.

3-Sprint: (I'd pass) some no-calls (messages instead of rings), some dropped calls, but serviceable, though never really any better than anyone else in any one thing.

4-T-Mobile (I'd pass) total dead spots, total trouble spots, probably for urbanites & city dwellers who spend most of their time in top coverage areas, problematic billing needs checking, combo'd with customer service that plays dense.

If you can get by on AT&T, do it, if you have trouble at home or work, pay extra for Verizon.

Signals around this area can be spotty. If you're on Route 1 or around it, no problem. Go over to Hollin Hall and nothing. Parts toward Bellehaven are patchy, but Verizon has the strongest signal.

My signal is absolutely terrible around the beltway and telegraph road. 3G and 4G both crap out constantly.

NSA says it's good.
