Woman Missing from the Alexandria Area


Mount Vernon Police District - Police are looking for a 74-year-old woman who was reported missing by her family. Hazel Smith last spoke with family members around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, while at her home in the 8100 block of Tis Well Drive. She was not home later that evening when a relative stopped by to check on her.

Smith is believed to be operating a 1995 dark green Ford Taurus station wagon with Virginia license plates – ZCF-8156. She is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown eyes, strawberry-blonde hair and glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.
