No luck searching for a news article and weekly reports from Fairfax County won't be released until next Friday, wanted to see if anyone knows what happened last night.

Thanks.

I live in the apartments across Trinity Parkway from the entrance to Veloicity. I was awaken by three gun shots early in the AM. But went back to bed. When I woke at 0900 I could see the police and investigators over there and the area was taped off. I not sure of any other details.

There was also a shooting at the Hooter's in Chantilly the other day (1 or 2 days ago). Apparently, it was an accidental discharge of a firearm by some knucklehead who decided to handle a loaded firearm and shot a lady in the foot. The guy was arrested.

Anyone able to located the news story?

I was actually at the hooters a the time, sitting one table over. The moron was removing the safety ziptie from his newly purchased Sig when it discharged and hit his friend's girl in the leg. IT happened.

If you are removing a ziptie, it means no round was in it. Gun show vendors don't pre-load your guns for you, and taking off a ziptie from an unloaded gun isn't going to magically make a bullet appear and fire.

He was in the process of LOADING it when it discharged. The dumbass had his finger on the trigger.

There was no shooting that involved Velocity 5...There was an incident in the early morning that took place WELL after closing and happened in the parking lot between Coppe Canyon and V5...

"He was in the process of LOADING it when it discharged. The dumbass had his finger on the trigger."

So let me get this straight. He bought this gun and took it to Hooter's to cut the zip tie off and load it up?

Wow, taking a handgun--so new it's still ziptied--to Hooters to show it off and somehow having a round materialize in the chamber and then have the gun go off and shoot someone next to you.

So much class, combined with win, in one place!

Sounds like someone picked up some prostitues, or scammers, and had a disagreement about payment and/or services.
