Best way to get to Reston from Fairfax

I have a doctor's appointment at 9:00 AM by the Reston Town Center. Google suggests Fairfax County Parkway or Lawyers Road, which is best? TIA.

Hunter Mill from 123. ride it all the way, follow it after it splits into Sunrise Valley. Shouldnt hit much traffic, its a one lane and generally people avoid it

Fairfax Pkwy is good except that you will be stuck right before the Town Center (entrance to the toll Rd).

+1

I have passed on that road (with clear visibility) when some fucking foreigner or mexican work truck is going under the speed limit. People, you can do at least 45 there on most parts.

FCPD just got a new helicopter and their pilots require training hours. Please contact them and provide a good location for them to land and pick you up. Remember, you are the most important resident in Fairfax County.

The doctor's office is probably in one of the medical buildings around Reston Hospital. They're situated next to Fairfax County Parkway.

If you're going to drive 30 mph please get out of nova! Fyi, you can be ticketed for going under the speed limit.

Stick to the speed limit dickhead.

It's a residential neighborhood, not a racetrack.

There are also places with very limited visibility as well as a crossing by the WO&D bike trail. Speeding round the bends makes it much harder for families who actually live there to know when its safe to pull out. There are a lot of families with young drivers - don't make things more dangerous for them joining the road.

I've also seem people pulled over by the police for overtaking inappropriately and for passing on the left of a car indicating to turn right - both along this road.

If you want to speed - do it in your own neighborhood.

Fox Mill Road rarely has problems. I commute on it daily.

Notice he send "most" parts. We aren't asking people to go 50 around the bends, but my god, there is no reason to go so slow as some people do on the vast majority of the road. I make a point to slow way down at the crosswalk for the trail, but afterwards, there's no reason not to go at least 40.

Ever left your house? Are you a hermit? A 8 mile drive has me wondering about you. Just play it safe and leave at 5 a.m. odd ball

Like a dumbass I am... When I was released from confinement @ the fine Fairfax County Adult Detention Center (I was there for 3 weeks, and was previously held in Maryland awaiting extradition for 49 days..) - I walked towards which I thought was Rt 123..

I was planning on walking on Hunter Mill and then somehow I ended up on Rt 50. after about 2 hours I came across 7100. So I walked up the exit ramp from 50 towards 7100 and walked 7100 (I remember seeing INOVA) - Mind you this is Saturday evening at 1130pm. I didnt make it to Reston until 5am because I didnt know where I was going.

I still had my bracelet on from the jail and walking with my property bag, Thank god it was night out because I would have never of made it... My right legged ached and hurt for 2 weeks straight.. Im not a native either.. I suppose that explains it.

For some reason, I kept singing to my self "These feet are made for walking".. Also, that was the first time I saw the sign that said OLD 7100 NEW 238 ? or what ever the new route was.. wtf.. The walk from rt 7100 to Lake Ann was a bitch.. LONGEST. WALK. EVER.
