Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Yes, Fairfax county is pretty dull but where would you all rather live then here? I have been living in Fairfax County for over 8 years now and wouldn't exactly mind a change in scenary.
You want "feelings" from Gravis? Forget it...only smart ass comments to amuse his apparent groupies on here. Do you remember how it was in grade school...little clics that need to make themselves feel better at the expense of others? Well, thats what Gravis is wrapped up in.
As far as moving...I wouldnt move out of VA...but I wouldnt mind moving to the Charlottesville area.

Except cool things have come out of there like Dave Mathews Band, and the guys from the Whitest Kids You Know!!! What has fairfax given us, Michael Weiss?? Although I have heard Charlottesville has become kind of lame in recent years, so I guess you may still may be right meep!
NYC is basically its own country.
Los Angeles has it's own 3rd world funk-feel to it. New Orleans is like nowhere else on Earth.
New Hampshire lets you avoid paying a lot of taxes.
Alaska is the last frontier.
Hawaii is considered by many to be the closest thing to Heaven.
You can still homestead in the north/central plains or build a cabin in Montana.
Chicago is a cool place.
20% of South Carolinians still favor seccession.
Our country is vast and every place you go is different. Just roll the dice and do it.

Funny you mentioned Hawaii, my girlfrined wants us to move there as she has family that lives there. I am just not sure I want to make that commitment as for me it would be like starting my life fresh. Although her parents offered us a place to stay at no expense and her dad offered me a job in his firm, I believe he owns a construction agency and does major deals but I wouldnt want to feel as I am depending on him. . I am not really the type that feels comfortable mooching off of someone . I dont feel as there are a lot of employment opportunities besides owning a business, I might be wrong I have been to Honolulu before and really liked it but I am just not sure about living there.
yeah, well thats my boss. You know a job? The place I go to for like 40-50 hours a week and they happen to pay me. Really nice, you should try it sometime. Anyway , she is like 60 and why do you have my picture stored on your computer, its like the 5th you do this.

Is that good or bad? DC brings a lot of excitement to the area.

It was meant as a negative aspect of the Charlottesville area. I love DC. You can always find something cool to do, and there's always something going on. there is no reason to be bored in this county when you have a city like DC right down the road. In fact, it's the only reason to live around here, IMO. I think the only other place I'd move to in a heartbeat would be LA. Especially after getting soaked by shitty rainy weather all weekend like this!
Hot babes, hot beaches, great weather, and apparently enough free-wheeling coke and pot to fuel the entire city avaialable at the local fraternity house...
