Wedding Officiant Fees.....

Can anyone here tell what a good donation to the church would be for a wedding ceremony in this area. We are not current members at our church anymore, but would like our minister to perform the ceremony at a location other than the church. Any advice would greatly appreciated.

One million doallars (austin powers)!!!!!!!Besides they have all those abuse settlements to pay for. I also find it amusing that the Pope came to D.C. and condemned the U.S. for slavery and killing american indians, but made no mention about the abuse and the cover ups that the dioceses engage in when they just move the priests to other parishes far enough away.

See if your chuch has a website - many do. Here is an example of information I found by random online search. If your church doesn't have a site, see if any nearby churches do. Local custom is local custom. It should be close and will help you think of questions that may not have occurred to you.

Best wishes for a long and happy union.

There is a facility use fee for weddings held at First UMC. The charge is $100.00 for members and $300.00 for non-members. The Sanctuary seats approximately 400 people. A non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 is required to hold a date on the church calendar. When the date is approved by the Pastor and Wedding Coordinator, the registration fee will be applied to the facility use fee. Note: We will not perform military weddings that include guns or swords on church property.

No guns or swords? I am not going! But if I have a Concealed Cary Permit it is ok, right?

I think 10% of your monthly salary is about right.
