Any way to hack Wii games?

A little while back I thought I was going to be the best girlfriend ever and get my boyfriend a Japanese Hacked Wii and a bunch of games (there was a ridiculous deal) for his birthday. It works fine with some games, but unfortunately some games won't play because they're protected. Does anyone know how to hack American Wii games so they would work properly on a Japanese Hacked Wii?
