FCPS has set it's priorities and general ed class size with solid traditional core academic instruction was not one of them. The 10 million gift plus the 2 million for South County is almost equivalent to the class size increase number. IB is more than twice the cost of AP, GT should be at every middle school not the rat maze of bussing, etc. Is the Braddock District stuffed with pork programs and funding as well as unnecessary capital projects?
There are foreclosures and near foreclosures everywhere in FX. Gas is over 3 dollars/gallon. Lake Braddock got a renovation and addition yet as per the South County PTA website Mrs. Albo is unwilling to get more students.
Tisdadt wrote about reducing scope of renovations so all might have humane standards. It's not the amount of money but what FCPS school boards have decided to spend it on:
