Can someone recommend a good place in the area to watch NASCAR Races? Somewhere with sound and good TV's.

Whole Foods at Fair Lakes shows the races in their sports bar area. Reasonably priced beer and food and generally pretty empty.

Don't forget your neighborhood Hooters! Cold beer, hot wings and beautiful women, who could want more? Tell them I sent you for a dollar off all beer specials.

Is he related to Dick Trickle? I don't watch NASCAR, but I remember him from the '90s when SportsCenter would always report how he finished.

Cole Trickle was Tom Cruise's chracter in "Days of Thunder" so...that would be no.

Is it wrong of me to want this no-talent, egotistical douche bag to shred his ride in a fence?

Kyle Petty is seen as a failure. When is NASCAR Nation going to wake up to the fact Dale Jr. is a failure, too?

Five million a year in salary and 22 million in endorsements. I could use that kind of failure in my life.

Loc, your intellect knows no bounds...now you're all up in a NASCAR thread?

All anyone needs to know about Junior is that he hasn't won a NASCAR points race since June 15, 2008 @ Fontana, CA. (That's four years if he's winless through June 15, 2012.) And before that win in 2008...he went 76 races in betweeen wins.

Oh...almost forgot...The number of Winston/Sprint Cup Championships won by Junior? Zero.

Race fans, if Dale's last name was Smith? He'd be pumpin' gas...

While I am extremely disapointed in Junior's performance these past few years, his career wasn't exactly handed to him. Sr. wouldn't even let him touch one of his Busch cars until Dale proved himself by winning in the midget and sprint cars. Junior did go out and win two consecutive NASCAR Busch championships in 98' and 99'. I wouldn't call an All-Star race win, a Daytona 500 win, and 18 points races a horrible career. He actually won the Busch race in 2010 at Daytona in the #3 car which was his last win.

Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Jimmie Johnson, and Jeff Gordon. That's it. That's the list.

Until Junior wins a Sprint Cup (or whatever NASCAR's top-level championship might be called in the future) he will just be Dale Earnhardt's son.

Kyle Busch has more in common with Dale Sr. than does Dale Jr. His performance at the Shootout was for the ages. He survived two wrecks to win. Jr. would have been in the garage after the first one.

I don't know WHAT to make of that 18 car. But, I agree with your comparisons to the 3.

The problem I have with Kyle Busch is that like Junior he also hasn't won a top-level series championship. And yet, Kyle walks around the garage and pit area and conducts himself in interviews as though he has won more championships than anyone.

Now, I'm all for a driver having confidence and he has 23 wins in 8 years of Cup which is a great start but until you've won a championship...yeah...you need to shut up and drive.

Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards are the heirs apparent to Johnson, Stewart and Gordon. I think they will be Sprint Cup Champions at some point. Dale Jr. may never win another race.

Johnson has one or two championships left in him, same for Stewart. Kurt Busch can fuckoff and so can his brother. The thing is though, Kyle will win a championship, maybe more, but he has to shut the fuck up and just drive. Carl should get one here soon too.

11 fan here, too. I like the crew chief change but the team still needs to work on performing consistently. He's had a good SpeedWeeks and I like his chances Sunday.
