Furniture Repair for Broken Recliner
Posted by: Mike Sorce ()

I am in need of someone to fix a broken recliner. Most furniture repair places seem to focus on wood or upholstered items, but this is more of a mechanical problem. Maybe a good handyman could figure it out. Any suggestions?

I had my recliner repaired by "My Home Shop" in Fairfax next to Beattys garden center by the West Ox/7100/29 interchange.

How did you break your recliner?

Perhaps you should also consider some celery next time you eat something

Funny! My daughter had some teenage friends over for a Super Bowl party and one of them snapped off the handle that is connected to the cable which releases the recliner mechanism. This is part of a sectional sofa and is too large to move easily. The repair would probably be simple for someone with basic mechanical skills which, unfortunately, I really don't have.

I dropped mine from the second floor and the base broke.
