Having read some of the thoughtful posts on this subject, maybe a photo ID is maybe not a bad idea.-Rod

WTF, producing ID proves that you are who you say you are. Everybody who is a citizen should have an ID. Voter fraud versus inconvenience of getting ID.

Not a tough call.

Official government issued ID. A Navy ID is issued by the DOD - a U.S. government agency.

I know a poll test is unconstitutional, but I seriously wish stupid people like this weren't allowed to vote.

anything the ACLU says is bullshit! reason they oppose the photo ID is because
they know illegals wont be able to vote anymore.

How on earth did the Navy get suckered into giving you an ID card? Must be one of those "dependent" cards.

I voted last time without my drivers license. I went swimming and do not keep it. I could not vote twice because they note it and do not allow people to vote twice. People should be able to vote even if they do not drive and have a license. Once speaking of photo id's I was asked for my passport at the bank. I do not want to have to carry a passport to bank and neither do you.- Rod

You can't vote twice, but you can vote in place of somebody else! And you can vote without a license - its called a state issued ID card or a federall issued ID card.

True they check you off, but what if you walked in with someone else's non photo voter registration card. For instance, when my grandfather passed away 3 days before the '06 elections, what, besides my own sense of right and wrong, prevented me from walking into his precinct in voting? True, there are laws, and you might get caught in small towns, but in Fairfax, I bet it would be easy to pull this scam. How do you know what I want to bank to ask for. If I have been a victim of ID theft, I might require this with all of my financial transactions. In any event, a bank is a private institution. If you don't like their policies, take your business elsewhere.

Of all the idiotic ideas ever put forth!!!!! If you are a CITIZEN you shouldn't mind presenting proper ID to cast your vote . SCREW THE ACLU and all the other PC pukes. They all know that requiring everyone who votes to have a VALID Picture ID will kick their little PC agendas in the NUTZ. Those states that dont require PICTURE ID have the highest rates of voter fraud in the country. Its almost time to fill my moat with gators, see ya later.

"Because a significant number of racial and ethnic minority voters, voters with disabilities (especially those whose disabilities prevent them from driving), rural and Native voters, the homeless, the elderly, and low-income people do not have photo identification nor the financial means to acquire it, the burden would fall disproportionately and unfairly burden them. I read this and think bums, fatsos on disability, illegals, welfare cases and last and certainly least wanted persons.
Anyone can go to DMV and get a walkers permit if not a drivers license. If these fat worthless slugs got enough energy to hop down to walmart and park in a handicapped space they can crawl their way into DMV.

Every citizen over the age of 18 should have a photo ID, whether it be a drivers license or a walkers.

Its amazing, they're too fucking fat and lazy to hop on over to the DMV to spend $10.00 every FIVE years for an ID, but they're adept enough to vote at two or three different polling stations every general and primary election.

Go figure. Democrats in action.

Vote early and vote often!
