Re: Alto Plaza is open has anyone been there yet????

I've only been for Happy Hours on Fridays, so I don't know howw much I can tell you for the "fine dining" aspect, but I can tell you that I was pleasantly surprised when I went for the first time. I go with a bunch of other teachers, so it's not like we're exactly rich, but we go almost every week. For less than $25 (tip included) I've been able to get a chicken quesadilla and two Long Islands. Depending on who's tending bar, the LI's vary in quality (and LI's are much more expensive than your average drink), but the quesadillas are always tasty, and the chips and salsa are a nice variation on bread. I'm not sure when the other people are going to eat at the restaurant, but I do know that whenever I go out on a weeknight, no matter what restaurant it is, it's not crowded at all. At Alto Plaza, Friday evenings always get crowded, and now that it's nice outside again, the patio/balcony area fills up quickly.

Just my two cents.

I never knew there was a market for that, or that people would pay so much.

Time to go invest in some goats!

Anywhere you go around here the food is going to be overpriced just by happenstance of being located in the DC Metro area with it's high real-estate value.
