When he wasn't injured or in trouble with the law, Taylor was one of the few bright spots for a spotty Redskins team. Still think this was a planned hit, though. Makes you wonder what was behind it all.

So on the Junkies this morning they were speculating that Sean Taylor's wound might be self-inflicted. Apparently there are rumors that there were no signs of a break-in at the house. Think about it...
Taylor had a previous gun charge, so he probably isn't supposed to have a gun as part of his deal.
His house was broken into a week ago. So, to protect his family, he had a gun on his nightstand.
He is awakened by a sound downstairs. It is dark. He picks up the gun, slips it into the top of his pants, it accidentally discharges into his thigh.
Still lucid and not wanting to get caught with the gun, he convinces his girlfriend to hide it. Because of the previous break-in, they come up with the intruder story to protect him from going to jail for having a gun he wasn't supposed to have.
Granted, this is 100% conjecture on my part. However, as I have said before, the break-in story hasn't made much sense.

That is the last thing a police department wants to do especially if they suspect that there is no intruder and that the solution lies within the family. If they had a description of a car or a name that would be different.

You guys are all stupid, Sean Taylor was only 24 years old and had grown som uch as a person the last couple years. So he got into a little trouble when he was 21 who doesn't. He had a kid, and being a father was the world to him. He distanced himself from the thugs he grew up with and thats probably what got him shot. He shouldn't of stayed in Miami, but God bless him. I think sean taylor was just a kid. He had a kid mentality. When people stole his ATV's rather than reporting it to the police he confronted them with a gun and beat one guy's ass.

Man, it's certainly a sad circumstance and I know this is the DC area but I can't believe this thing rates blanket coverage on all the local networks and ESPN for almost 3 hours. I'm surprised they didn't have him lie in state in the Capitol or something. I don't remember this type of national coverage when Darrent Williams of the Broncos was murdered immediately after a playoff game last season.
