Where to get Large 400+ pound used tires for lifting

Whatsup fairfaxundergrounders! Anyone have an idea of where to get large used tires around 400 pounds but ill be willing to settle a little lower or higher weight for tire flipping? I'm new to the area and the only junkyard I could find was in Leesburg and the guy tried to charge me 90$ for a used even though in my old town most places would give em to you for free since junkyards/county garages have to pay to have them removed.

Thanks for the help guys and gals.

You're living in the wrong county for lifting anything heavier than a pound of weed. In general, people from Fairfax don't lift anything and most of what they do is shit they see on the Biggest Loser or some other idiot show like that. With that being said, I sould head south down Rt. 29 and get into the rural areas and start your search. You should be able to find tires down there for flipping. Ask around and you'll be able to find a welder to make you some farmers walk handles too.

hahahahahah great humor with the pound of weed, so true. Anyways, I did find a place for the tire, I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow for free actually. But i'm looking to make a weight drag sled out of metal but I dont have any friends who weld. Do ya have a rough estimate how much parts and welding would cost/ a local place to do it for something to look like this?

continuation of that post^ a sled like that costs around 80$. I can't imagine that it would cost that much to weld from some scrap metal at a local place huh?

You might try Weber Tire.. They work on commercial/industrial equipment..

Not sure what the cost would be, if any..

http://webertireco.com/

Otherwise it would be the tire places in the Newington Industrial Park area

I've seen folks behind the Lifetime Fitness drag a tractor tire around behid the bldg. sometimes

Try McCarthy Tire. They service commercial trucks/businesses, and they probably have some used tires you could get at a discount or maybe for free?

Damn... looks like tire flipping is the shit. Any other gyms around here that have a tire that people can flip? I remember seeing an article/advertisement once in Men's Health for a chain that had "different" ways to work out; i.e. tires and such. I don't think they had a location around here. :(
