Former Kilmer Middle School principal Deborah Hernandez is an assistant principal, one of 7, at Lake Braddock Secondary School. She remarried and her name is now Strayhorn.

Nothing has changed with her except her name. She is an arrogant bitch and bosses people around like they are slaves. At this time, she is only the assistant principal for administration so she usually has no direct contact with kids except when an assistant principal is out, then she will do discipline, etc. We now know what the students and parents went through at Kilmer. Our PTSA is so out of touch with the "P" part of the organization that they don't realize, or care, about who was slipped quietly into our school.

She needs to be sent back to Gatehouse where she will have no contact with parents or students. She should not have any supervisory duties as this would mean contact with employees.

It is a shame that FCPS cannot get rid of people such as Strayhorn. FCPS would be a much better place without people like her and school board member Tina Hone.

Why don't toxic employees in FCPS get fired, instead of just passing them around the school system? Parking the problem in a new school does not help anyone.

If the Republican plan to privatize the US education system goes through than this will not be an issue.

Now Hernandez (Strayhorn) has been promoted to Associate Principal at LBSS. I guess it does pay to "stray." Now she is even more of a bitch because she has more power.

Hmm...I am a concerned parent - so, I will...

1. Do something about the situation, like email or contact the school board

or

2. Post some bull-shit on FFXU

There is some type of coverup going on here and they are trying to rehabilitate Hernandez/Strayhorn. From Kilmore to Lake Braddock and then a promotion at Braddock, she could soon be in your neighborhood. We at Lake Braddock hope she is.

Strayhorn is humorless, impersonal, cold, conceited, uncaring, and unconcerned about students and/or parents. Other than that, she's a great educational administrator.

What does it take to cull out the awful/dud administrators in FCPS? How many administrators does FCPS really need in Gatehouse? They really need to reduce the bulk/trim the fat and apply the savings to reducing class sizes at some schools.

It is my honor and privilege to serve the Lake Braddock Community as the Associate Principal.

This will be my third year as a Lake Braddock Administrator. Previously, I served as a middle school principal and high school assistant principal within Fairfax County Public Schools.

What I love most about Lake Braddock are the people: the students, teacher, parents, and staff. Lake Braddock Secondary School while large in size is quite small at heart.

I truly love coming to work each day. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling to exciting and sometimes relaxing destinations.

Does anyone else notice a similarity between this womsn’s past and the present situation at LBSS. This is hush hush but well-known in the schools. Do parents know? They’re about to because they want Dan Meier back. Did she undermine his work and reputation? It won’t be long before this and the truth surfaces. I want this to be unrelated but if it isn’t, FCPS can start backpedaling!

She’s baaaack. Does a new principal always bring this woman out of her office. She is sucking up to the new Lake Braddock guy already. Has anyone else noticed? He will see through her soon enough and she will strike back. He will be another casualty. She should just go work somewhere else.

She was such a mess as the principal at Kilmer MS years ago. Totally, utterly useless and incompetent. Guess I should be surprised she’s still getting a paycheck from FCPS, but really I’m not.

Can we clean house once and for all at Lake Braddock? The new guy can sweep out the mess including her. He will see her for who she is soon enough. She’s terrible with people.
