My sincerest apologies. Let me put it another way:

They were classified as "flavored cigarettes," and most places stopped carrying them because of that. It was part of the tobacco reform laws that also said cigarettes can't be labeled as "light" or "ultra light," which is why they're now called "gold" or "silver."

I used to see them everywhere, but have not seen them since that happened, so I provided the best info I had. If I was wrong, I knew some smug asshole would leap at the chance to tell me how wrong I am, and thus provide the OP with the answer they're looking for.

Clove cigarettes are banned - per the FDA. Manufacturers have attempted to circumvent this by changing them a bit and labeling them as cigars. So, Mephisto is correct.

The FDA ban on clove cigarettes has been challenged by the Government of Indonesia at the World Trade Organization.

Actually Mephisto is still wrong. The OP did not ask for "clove cigarettes" he asked for "cloves". Cloves are legal, clove cigarettes are not.

I really can't understand how you're not putting two and two together. Sure, they might still sell clove cigars, but he's asking for Djarum Blacks, which are fucking cigarettes.

By your logic, another perfectly acceptable and true answer would be, "Look in the spice section of your nearest supermarket," because those are cloves, too.

The dudes are correct. I like Djarums Specials. They(And I'm sure this was done with Djarum Blacks-that's just what they're called-its not intended to offend anyone--that they'd were "temporarily" banned until they figured out how to deal with the nonsense issue about them being more attractive to children). First off,these are $$$,kids wouldn't even go for it. But to compromise with the Concerned,(whoever they "R") most quality Clove brand cigarettes did get relabeled as CIGARS, and so only 10 per box, rather than 20-as cigarettes R sold. I LOVE THEM-even though they R Bad for your Lungs. You CAN GET CLOVES IN THE COLUMBIA, MD MALL. I got an entire Cube there (2/2011), and they gave me a great deal (wound up 7$ a pack). At UNION STATION,DC-you can get them from Tobacco store upstairs. But they cost about 12$ a pack.I love them, + know where 2 get them,but I don't have a car, + use a cane and just can't get to Columbia Mall. AARGH. In Maryland the most comunist state in the nation sells them. Although you can't find them in menthol. I just came back from Florida and you can get Djarum Black menthol all over the south. The FDA has not banned them but maybe your state has or at least stopped selling the menthol version. Now that is a fact jack, now go buy them there awesome.

They sell them at Sterling Smoke (in sterling, VA) for only $5.50 a pack (standard Djarums and a few other flavors like Blacks, Vanilla, and Cherry).

I know sterling is a but out there but if you work in herndon worth the quick trip. The store just openeed 2 or 3 months ago.
