most likely the other two people in the car were the reason he was speeding. wrxs' are known for their speed and both of these guys were looking to buy the car from him. and i know for a fact that at least one of them wanted to see how fast it could go.

...and they were doing it on a road that had a posted speed limit that was likely much lower than the speed at which they were travelling.

I don't think I'm going out on a limb here when I assume that they were probably breaking the law in a major way.

...so I'm still confused as to why you'd think this person deserves sympathy. He thought a speed limit law, designed to enforce his and others' safety, didn't apply to him. Now he's dead. That's what happens when you don't obey the speed limit.

I knew Ben for almost my whole life, and he was a great kid. He was loved by many and hated by few until now. He had 2 wonderful parents, a fabulous sister, and a great group of friends. Anyone here judging him for his mistakes should take a step back and look at their life. He who has never sinned can cast the first stone.

We've all done things we regret, including driving too fast, and he was one of the unlucky ones that paid the price. Everything has a purpose, behind every sad story comes a new beginning, and God has a plan more vast than any of us can understand. Those here who have nothing better to do than make his family's lives harder in this very difficult time should really consider channeling that energy elsewhere. I wouldn't wish what happened to the Sarleys on my worst enemy, and making a mockery of all the good he did in his life before that point is childish.

I'm praying for the Sarleys.

Maybe the mockery by the people on this board will make others think twice about speeding and driving recklessly.
