I think also it was before some of the old WJFK show peanut gallery people moved on with their lives. Creasy and Black-out Bruce are poor replacements for Ryan the Racist and Beau.

Two things ruined the podcast.
1. The fact it became the Chad Dukes and Friends Show instead of BOAD. I know some tertiary characters can create content, every radio show does it. O&D used to with station staff and interns. Yet the moment it became a clan of Dukes' "friends" that hang out with him, and no one else on the show is when it went bad. Everything became inside stuff, only funny to the 5 people who were at Chad's house for the WWE pay per view.

2. Paid show made them continually punt on the free show. You'll never get new listeners that way and old listeners will despise it.

Spot on assessment...The Chad Dukes Mafia ruined it...It all became about hanging with Dukes or worse...Why weren't you hanging with Dukes?

I was ok with the insider stuff when they talked about Arizona early on. I did not get all the players, but they were able to make it entertaining. When more of the PG showed up, Chad just started talking to those rejects about what they did over the weekend and that was it, I was lost. If you were not there, you never knew what was going on, or who was talking. Then fifth rate losers started getting as much as 30 and 40 minutes a show to talk about whatever. Pissface going on about his drugs, Sven and his blow and goes....all the while there were promises they would never tease something for the paid show during the regular show...right up until they started doing just that (Snacks of the Round Table for example).

I have a couple of months of BOAD on my iTunes I doubt I will ever get to. Now I am afraid I won't know who anyone is if I try to jump back. They have made the show all about the losers who they hang out with/ let me rephrase, CHAD has made the show all about who he hangs out with, and it isn't interesting. It's not entertaining. It's nothing, and that is just sad.

Several people on here have met her and all agree that she is pretty attractive. But I don't think anyone here is weird enough to have taken a picture to post here.

Do they "hold back" for the premium show? I haven't heard a Reloaded since June, but I remember them being basically the same show except for hearing "fuck" and details about Sven's sexual encounters (which I could do without).

I'm going to be fair and say 5 the best that can be said is they have potential as hosts, a great marketable concept and 2 people on the network who have the mindset of normal adults is welcomed. I'll give O&D credit that they have the technical skills of engaging flow and transition conversation and you notice it right away listening to "Intalksication."

It's as amateur sounding a podcast as you could dream up speaking in the mikes is a major issue, having the most basic outline you could imagine, hosts who have 0 experience in hosting broadcast and production issues. Plus in typical 1 step forward 1 step back Big O and Dukes style no notes, links and or promotions were given to the beers they talked about in the episode so unless your hanging to every word it's practically useless as a source of what to drink.

Here's the interesting thing 2 normal adults who have a pair of balls and something going on in their lives are going to have to go head to head with the tyrant Chad Dukes. I'm betting if 2 of the peanut gallery members delivered a similar product they would be disemboweled in fairness because it's a liability to a network that to is to it's credit is trying to move ahead with a smart idea for a show.

It's going to be a warped psychology experiment to see if Chad Dukes has the capacity to act as a rational adult Program Director/friend and improve a shoddy product among people who 1. help it make it about himself and 2. Take a chance to invest in the show.

The show for the most part was better if you go back though the technical aspect they have improved. If you want to get discouraged listen to old rally the horde episodes you can chart the decline.

Someone on this thread earlier stated it best 'I always ask myself if this was the first time listening would I pick up on what's going on and want to keep listening.' Like a pen and a legal pad can be a great tool for goal planning. Having them listen back each week and asking themselves that question and building upon what works would make a world of difference.

I think Oscar is gun ho about making the show work as is Drab. Chad continues to grow more unhappy, unhealthy and selfish so for him the show is about blowing off steam and boosting his ego.

I'm going to raise this topic I would like to hear what the people here think.
I've being getting a subtle vibe that Chad is counting on dying soon. The marriage, visiting family, the will show, spending tons of money, punting on exercise, eating whatever, struggling and giving up on trying to create healthy habits etc. I think he's consciously or unconsciously planning on not living too long. I want to say that plays a part in the mess he and the show has become this year.

It is hilarious how Chad is all about "music with instruments" now, probably specifically bands that include the wash board and moonshine jug as an instrument. This is the same guy who used to dance to NSync.

I had a roommate in college like that. In high school he was fat and played the trumpet. He showed us pictures. When he arrived at college, he had slimmed down and was suddenly a gym rat who always had pot on him. He became friendly with the meatheads and fraternity guys, and would go around like he walked on water. Decent guy, but his new status in life definitely went to his head.

The only thing worse than "Current Dukes" will be the next Dukes ...

I'm serious, I bet Dave could really provide some great stories and really funny info on Chad (and the whole PG for that matter).

I think he'll treat Intalksication better than that. He has been pretty supportive of The Minority Report, even offering Zohan advice as a professional broadcaster. I think the problem with Rally The Horde was that it was specifically about BOAD and that they didn't want to give RTH the freedom to talk honestly. It was sort of "you have to do it the way we want, but we're not going to tell you how to do it."

I am looking forward to hearing this, and have been merely speculating on Dukes' psychological state. However, things like bipolar disorder do tend to run in families, so he could both be bipolar and the result of a fucked up family situation.

I went through that phase when I was about 19. Now I am 33 and listen to what I like (which is not terribly mainstream, but on the metal/punk/hardcore side of things as opposed to bluegrass), but don't concern myself with what other people listen to. Life is too short to get bothered by other people's taste.

While I understand that, there are not really any bridges left to burn. Chad burned all of them when he kicked you out and is now calling you a creepy stalker apparently.

I wouldn't say there is anything you could possibly damage unless you really want to be in broadcasting in the future and, even then, Chad really won't have much, if any, say in that.

I remain friends with Zohan and a couple others involved with the show. A friend told me you guys were talking about me again so I figured I'd drop in and see whats going on. Sorry to say I'm not sure if there's anything that I have to add to your discussion about the show in general. As far as the brewfest stuff goes, I haven't listened to the podcast and don't plan to. However, I hear that I was accused of either hovering over them or avoiding them - not sure which or perhaps it was both. My friend and I were doing neither. We were drunk by the time they showed up and they parked their chairs in the middle of the pathway where people were walking. I ran into the group sans Chad and said hi to everyone. Spent maybe 30 seconds asking how things were then continued on with my drunken debauchery. Don't recall seeing any of them after that. Don't recall ever seeing Chad there.

You should not listen to that episode of the podcast. He seemed to indicate that you hovered and then jumped in when he left, twice.

Its not likely that i'll listen to that episode or any "guy talk" podcast again. No worries there. But I'm sure he exaggerated for the show. Doesn't bother me... that stuff never did.

I think it's a good idea to stay away from 'guy talk' radio because it usually involves massively insecure people who simply want to crap on everyone else.

That's where I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. It never bothered me what was said on the show. Oscar thanked me personally for putting together the best of show saying I was the only one who made an effort. I don't take any issue with things that were or continue to be discussed on the show.

Finally got around to listening to Intalksication. Gave up after 20 min. Not bad, just dull. There is a reason I subscribe to zero beer podcasts. Not that I don't like beer, because I do, but listening to someone talk about beer without having it to taste is pretty pointless.

People are stupid as hell. Chad is so horridly misinformed on virtually every single issue he brings up, politics to video games, that it's just humorous to watch him bumble and constantly contradict himself.

Dukes is bitching about Amazon not getting him Halo 4 today. He also just referred to people calling him out for it as "libs. Someone is trying real hard to be Anthony Cumia today.

First, he loved Amazon and how they would get you stuff on the day of release. Then, he loved Game Stop, then something happened there and now he does not. Then he loved Game Stop, then Amazon, now Amazon is out. It's like talking with a 12 year old girl on which boy in class she likes.
