Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Some of the local old-tme style diners in the area have nights where people come and show off cars, maybe it was one of those. I know there was one in annandale on john marr that would do it all the time, several a month in warm weather.
That's what I thought because I was over by the Silver Dinner, but I saw many Antique cars later coming from all directions around the Wal-Mart in Fair Lakes.
I see there are a couple of classic cars shows in Fairfax City and one out at Sully's on June 17th, but nothing this weekend.
Correct, there are quite a few places in the area that hosts classic car meets.
The Silver Diner in Fair Lakes does old time car shows.
The Silver Diner near near Herdon/Reston (I think Sunrise Valley?) forget name of road, does this as well.
Also the McDonalds/BK on 28 and 29 has meets in there parking lots from time to time. Usually import meets, but sometimes classic.
I believe these meets are every weekend. These are just meets, so they are not exactly posted anywhere. Just a grapevine kind of thing. The scheduled shows may be what you saw posted on the 17th.
There's lots of car trailers in the parking lot at the GMU Field House....might have something to do with it? Somebody that cares might want to check GMU's site....
