No wood for me

Well I was going to tinker around this morning using some plywood but was surprised to see how expensive it has gotten. Why is it so damn expensive right now? Is this inflation from all the stimulus or something else? These prices are at least twice the normal price. A sheet of OSB is usually like $15 at most.

Supply and demand. During Covid so many people have decided to finish their basements, add additions etc. So they are competing with Hew Home Construction. Therefore the dude that just needs a sheet of plywood is going to pay a premium. It's not just here, it's nationwide. I read the other day that the cost of a new home build is going to be $25,000 more this year just due to the price of wood.

Covid is being used as an excuse for a bunch of bad managerial decisions. A company we were dealing with laid off a bunch of their workers last spring when they thought things would slow down. Turns out there was even more demand. None of the laid off workers wanted to come back because they made almost as much from unemployment as they were getting paid. The company doesn't want to raise pay because they would have to pay their existing employees more.

As the guy above said, it's supply and demand. Remember the covid lockdown a year ago, Home Depot ect were packed as homeowners started and finished projects. Prices were inching up and have gotten even higher. Only thing that will change it is if demand eases.

The cabal has to make sure that all these people they are kicking out of jobs and professions being replaced by AI and robots have to live on the streets. Tis a population reduction measure because COVID isn't killing the numbers they originally planned for.
After the housing shortage (no one will be able to afford the new builds) Bill Gates, who is currently buying up all the farmland being taken as farmers go bankrupt via the weather warfare against heir crops, and the virus epidemic closing down the restaurants which used to buy their crops, will be able to starve out entire populations by controlling food and mandating that all food be restricted, rationed and GMO based.

$400 a week? That is $100 more than reality. However, to you $100 a week is probably nothing, right?
Seriously supply and demand is the issue here.
Oh and to the "When everyone has nothing...":
When people have money they spend it. Unless of course, you have more than enough money.
The people that don't, they need to spend it.
So, the money that goes to these folks goes back into the economy. It pays some rent to landlords. It buys food and other supplies.
300 a week. Multiplied by 52 weeks. $15,600 per year.
The cost of long term care for the elderly in Northern Virginia is on average more that $6000 a month. A month. Forgot, you think everyone unemployed is of working age, right?
If you had one kid and needed day care to work, the cost of that would exceed $300 per week.
The average rent for an 985 square foot apartment in NoVA is $1787.
Once everyone has nothing, my behind.
Where do you think this extra $300 per week is going? Into those large IRAs the poor have? Maybe they are buying short on some company with it, right? Of course, that new car when you are unemployed and have not the greatest credit should cost you what? Only $300 per month, right?
This is not Communism - otherwise the billionaire class would not have billions. The growing number of millionaires would not have millions.
The problem we have is the terrible divide on incoming and a coming shock on the cost of being old.

Now THAT is funny. There is always the "billionaire class" and a small group of chosen elites who get richer, regardless of the socioeconomic system. You think Stalin wasn't rich as fuck. Putin is considered the richest man in the world because he personally controls at least $600 billion in assets (the Bloomberg $75 billion is horseshit). Same with China. The commie leaders always carve out massive amounts of wealth for themselves. Always.

Customs agents are now finding mexican smugglers hiding 2x4's in shipments of cocaine. One container of weed was seized and inside the packages of pot they discovered hidden boxes of framing nails and #10 wood screws. Thanks Xiden.
