Central Springfield High School. It is in keeping with a normal naming convention for high schools in Fairfax which is that they have geographic names. While we are at it, change Madison to Vienna High School, Marshall to East Tysons High School, Edison to Franconia High School and Justice to Munson Hill High School. Since Fairfax is already taken and Pickett Road is out, Woodson will have to remain Woodson for now.

So do we rename Robinson? He did receive the MOH, but it was in a neocolonial war.

All schools should be renamed if they are named after anyone or any event. History has now become weaponized. In order to deescalate, geography or neighborhood names should be used to name a school. Things like West Springfield, Oakton, Vienna, etc. Also, mascots should be animals. No human references should be allowed. The cucking of Fairfax is complete.

I’ve always thought this was a better idea even before all the controversy. People are usually proud of where they live. Unless the famous person had some direct involvement with the place it’s dumb to name a school after them. It’s not like George Marshall or Lee ever went to those places or even knew about them at all. Pick something unique to the area, a hill, a town, a creek, it’s more interesting. Let Lee or Marshall’s hometown schools have dibs on their names if they want it.
