No it must be the original document with the original tax stamp attached

>On the loaded mags, for my semiautos I typically carry 15 loaded 30-rnd mags in my separate & locked range box. I really don't want to spend range time reloading mags. Are you saying the same cannot apply to a full auto - if kept in a separate locked box within the same vehicle?

Va Code 18.2-290 and 18.2-291 spell out what possession of a machine gun for aggressive purpose is

This is 18.2-291 It covers when the machine gun has not been registered with the Virginia State police and having live ammunition or even expended shells in the immediate vicinity if the machine gun has just been used or you are transporting the machine gun as its only your word your going to range to shoot if your carrying live ammunition . In other words keep the firearm unloaded locked in a case in a area other then the drivers compartment and all magazines unloaded and ammo in a separate locked box as well as empty shells when transporting a class III full auto and locked in a place not available to the driver with any empty shells to go to a range and shoot or to private property you own to keep your self out of a bad situation that could case the loss of the firearm by confiscation by the state and a felony charge . Don't be a test case and follow officers commands as a reasonable law abiding citizen would

This code is a LEO enforcement tool if someone has shot up something not necessarily in a crime as in a robbery or the shooting of someone but for kicks at a old car or signs or what ever although it can be used for any other lawful law enforcement reasons as robberies , shootings or threats of violence that have been or may be committed

1) When the machine gun is on premises not owned or rented for bona fide permanent residence or business occupancy by the person in whose possession the machine gun may be found;
(2) When the machine gun is in the possession of, or used by, a person who has been convicted of a crime of violence in any court of record, state or federal, of the United States of America, its territories or insular possessions;
(3) When the machine gun has not been registered as required in § 18.2-295; or
(4) When empty or loaded shells which have been or are susceptible of use in the machine gun are found in the immediate vicinity thereof.
Code 1950, § 18.1-261; 1960, c. 358; 1975, cc. 14, 15.

Class III full autos can be fun but you have to be very careful on transporting them with ammunition and empty shells , and they can only be shot in certain places

Remember the LEO tool factor that's why Virginia passed this code , anyone who does acquire a Class III firearm needs to consult with a attorney that knows the subject well under federal and Virginia laws , if you travel out of state then you need to be well versed on that state or states laws , some states completely prohibit machine guns and you may have to gas up and not stop going though such states without any stops See the lawyer on advice for breakdowns or wrecks in such states

DAJAX Constitutional NO ! But what can you do except making sure federal judges are those who will uphold the constitution. No DAJAX has never had a full auto or a suppressor as I a said they are fun very expensive and also a PITA but if you can afford one see the lawyer for advice and follow some simple self imposed rules you should not have any problems
