Wrong. They told trump about it months ago, asked him if we wanted testing kits, and he turned them down. He turned them down because he knew his uneducated zombie supporters would believe him when he said this was no big deal. Dumb fucks

Here's some facts: this was first identified as a different, unknown strain of flu-like virus by the Chicoms on Dec 30th. While the outbreak was known in late November, it was considered just another flu until China finally identified the virus as a novel corona virus. Trump was alerted shortly thereafter. As things deteriorated in China, Trump, against the advice of just about everyone, cut off travel to China on Jan 28th. WHO offered to share testing kit information as they had developed a method for testing. However, US law would not allow untested kits to be used in the US. The CDC and NIH took the information from WHO and added it to their own to develop a kit that met US testing requirements. The first set of testing kits, like the WHO kits, provide too many false results and new testing kits had to be developed. This took us to the end of February. A new, effective test kit was finally released and manufacturing has been going at a fever pitch since the end of February. We are where we are now.
Those are the facts. Easily verifiable. Now go suck on the smoking end of a glock 21.
