What did your mom say/do when you got home from school?

First thing I would do is want to rest in front of the TV some after a long day at school, all those classes and all. Maybe watch an after school special or what.
Mom used to come in the room with a vacuum cleaner, call us kids bumbs for watching tv, and we should be outside or doing homework fist (but there was also no tv until homework done after supper, so it was duplicative). She wouldn't vacuum the rug just run it back and forth one lane. The rug, we knew, was our job she'd order us to vacuum later. She'd lie about what happened to my dad, saying we did things we didn't do to make him angry at us frequently.
Almost every day, no rest from such attacks.
