Glory Days Grill in Barcroft Plaza
Posted by: Lake Barcroft Neighbor ()

I live in Lake Barcroft and my family and many of my friends and neighbors all enjoy dining at Glory Days Grill in Barcroft.

The owner, Wali Ghause, is a true gentleman, who always has a very friendly smile and says hello and he really cares about his guests.

The food and drinks are delicious and we always have great service there too.

If you're in or around Lake Barcroft, I highly recommend Glory Days Grill in Barcroft Plaza. I think you'll enjoy it, too.

Wow, it didn't take long for some low life out of work dude on Fairfax Underground who sits in his underwear and lives in his parents basement to call Glory Days a gay bar!

The poster obviously has homophobic issues as Glory Days is a very cool sports bar and has many locations in the area!

As a matter of fact Glory Days is the best place to go to watch sports!

We go to their Barcroft location and sometimes to their new location in Alexandria and there are a lot of women there.

Fairfax Underground caters to the lowest common denominator and I'm sure that the dude is probably foaming at the mouth reading this. Lol

Who cares how many women there are there? It's not like anyone goes to Glory Days to get laid, it's not that kind of place. If there are any women going there to get laid, they're definitely not even close to attractive. Though the food is really good so I would recommend it for that.

Go mingle amongst the vermin in barcroft.
Look at how they illegally sold the properties using techniques that whites used to keep niggers out.
Called FHA redlining.
And the owner’s name?
What ever happened to names like “Michael” and “Robert?”

Hey, you disgusting Nazi bastard! Who gives a shit about someone's name, "Adolf"?

I've been to the Glory Days at Barcroft many times. The place has really good food and good service and the owner is a very cool guy.

Fairfax Underground is full of assholes like you who are probably child molesters and meth addicts!

Go take your hateful Nazi propaganda to your next Ku Klux Klan meeting!

By the way if you had a pair of balls you would admit who you are and meet up anywhere at anytime but you're a pussy as you know you would rightfully get your prejudiced ass whipped!

People who locally work in the restaurant industry know that despite having a lot of good people in their system that salary wise they're very cheap paying their kitchen staff way below industry standards for the D.C. area. That's one reason that Glory Days can't retain a well trained staff as they hire and pay cheap.

Who cares if they're cheap! They've got delicious food and have lots of big screen televisions to watch games!

Before my husband convinced me to quit, because we lived too far away after our move, I used to work at the Fairfax Glory Days, which was a really fun place. Lonnie was our boss and we had a good staff back then. We'll have to get over to check out the Falls Church Glory Days sometime soon.

MS-13 gang members face possibility of death penalty in killing of Fairfax County teens

By Justin Jouvenal
February 21

Nearly a dozen members of the MS-13 street gang face the possibility of the death penalty after being indicted Thursday on charges related to the brutal slayings of two Fairfax County teens in 2016, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Alexandria.

A federal grand jury returned indictments against 11 gang members in the kidnapping and killing of Sergio Triminio, 14, and Edvin Mendez, 17, whose bodies were buried in Fairfax County’s Holmes Run Park. Authorities allege members recorded both victims’ deaths, so they could earn promotions within MS-13.

The slayings underscored the gang’s resurgence in the D.C. area, which saw a spate of similar crimes targeting teens and young people during the same period. Such killings have dropped, but President Trump has continued to highlight the gang’s violence as part of a push to build a wall along the border with Mexico.

A high-ranking member of MS-13, Edenilson Misael Alfaro, also known as Lil Sicario (“assassin”), ordered a clique of gang members in Virginia to lure, kidnap and kill Mendez and Trimino in August and September 2016, according to federal prosecutors.

Mendez, of Falls Church, was targeted after he posted a picture on Facebook of a masked man with “666” superimposed over his head in August 2016, a move MS-13 members interpreted as a sign he was member of the rival 18th Street gang, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Mendez was lured to Holmes Run Park, killed and buried.

Triminio, who was with the group that killed Mendez, met with Mendez’s brother the next month and relayed the chilling story of that killing, according to a search warrant filed in Fairfax County.

The next day, Triminio disappeared after leaving his family’s Falls Church apartment to take out the trash, according to the search warrant. His family reported him missing.

MS-13 members suspected Triminio of being a police informant because he was seen talking with police at Fairfax County’s juvenile detention center, where he had previously been held on other charges, according to a federal indictment.

Alfaro was arrested in November 2016 and authorities soon discovered what happened to Triminio: a video on Alfaro’s phone showed a young man in pajamas being attacked with a kitchen knife and machete as he lay face down on the ground, according to a federal indictment. The video lasts about 52 seconds.

A confidential informant later led Fairfax County police to Mendez’s and Triminio’s graves in Holmes Run Park, and the bodies were uncovered in March 2017, according to the indictment. A second informant told police roughly 20 MS-13 members were at the park on the night Triminio was killed.

The gang members are charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping and murder in aid of racketeering activity, conspiracy to kidnap, murder in aid of a racketeering activity and kidnapping resulting in death.

Attorneys for the defendants did not respond to requests for comment.

After the bodies were recovered, Fairfax County police chief Edwin C. Roessler Jr. said he was dismayed by gang violence after a series of killings by MS-13.

“This is out of control,” Roessler said. “These are teenagers and mainly young adults that are involved in this.”

This is true, only thing I'd note is that they could use more chicks as waitresses. Great place to catch a Caps game.

I used to live right by there - it used to be a Korean restaurant and would have tons of tour buses full of Koreans there. When they visit the US, they don’t want to try our food and I guess the parking was good enough there.

Thank God they didn’t follow through with the DMV plans for that location!

The Harris Teeter there is good too, and the staff know how to make a good sub.

Glad I moved when I did though, crime and Hispanics are on the rise.

Never thought this until I read this here but it might be true. I hit the restaurant on Mondays for burger night and didn't notice. I was in the bar area tonight and I get it. Hard to tell since a sports bar is normally full of guys.

Went there last week for the first time.

Ordered a burger and a side.

They got the order wrong and charged me wrong.
They fixed it to be the right charge in the end.

The burger came out raw; I had asked for "medium".
Medium is supposed to mean cooked all the way through.
This burger was raw, what I would call "rare".

The mac'n'cheese with lump crab was the tiniest portion
I have ever seen, a smear of food on a 4" flat plate.
It was served ice cold.

In the end I paid close to $30 for a bad small meal.

Glory Days is for people who are drunk and want to watch TV, I am guessing.
The food is not good.

If you want much better food for a much better price,
I suggest Five Guys. Or IHOP. Or anything.

The food isn't good and the staff is not trained well.
If you like a sports bar -- which I don't -- maybe that's normal.
Or maybe it's better than normal, I wouldn't know.
But it's not a place to go for "good food".

I'm happy it's there, rather than a DMV branch.

There was a small wait to get seated.
My first and last time there, but apparently some people like it.

For starters, Lake Barcroft isn't a lake it's a man-made pond.

They have problems with lying over there.
