Trump can get much, much more, with the declaration of a national emergency, VERY valid in this situation, as crime coming here from south of the border infecting many communities in the USA with crimes smaller (usually does not get the news coverage) and larger, as many of us have seen and/or heard it first hand right here in Fairfax County. Billions of funds have already appropriated from prior years and not yet spent, through military construction and Trump is commander in chief, and other like funds. Sure, this is going to the courts, but Trump has had many years running large business enterprises with his own personal legal team, so he has had first hand prior experience working this through. If this goes to the Supreme Court, Trump with his appointments of justices, has more support of the right view on national safety.

Am not point blank against immigrants, but as more than one person in government office has supported, they need to come to this country legally, getting their green card and eventual citizenship, follow the laws of the land, and work toward learning English (no one can be expected to learn all of the dozens of languages in Fairfax County). I am appreciative of immigrants who do all that, such as a couple of Lyft drivers have met recently. However, if you come to this country, breaking in without even getting asylum, commit crimes small and big against others, and hate your neighbors and this country, you do not belong here. Like Heaven - yes, in a recent southern grocery store ad weekly circular, it has walls, gates, and a strict immigration policy, whereas Hell has open borders. If we choose the later, what we are experiencing now is pleasant compared to the worse here on earth to come.
