More rain delays. Glad I have today off for R&R instead. Go NATS, eventually!

^^^ Eventually will be this Thursday at 4:05. Before that, we go off to PHI for three, and after we go off to ATL for three. Looked like big games at the start of the year. Now, it so much.

Today is the make-up game against the Cubs. Three-game sweep in soggy Philadelphia. Can the Nats keep their win streak going?

How many games do you think will get played in Atlanta, this weekend. Georgia is going to get the rains from Florence. MLB might want to consider moving the games to Washington.

If Washington keeps up like it has been, and Atlanta starts losing, those 3 games could make a diff.

I'm expecting a win against Chicago as long as Harper keeps doing what he does best---get walks.

Might depend more on how ready Joe Ross is.

Today's game is 7:05 start, just as most games are.

Wrong, the game is going on now.

No. You are watching a replay of the game this past weekend. MASN shows old games all the time. Notice how it doesn't say "live" on the screen.

It hasn't started yet. It's a 7:05 start time.

Try the other MASN channel. The game is on and it's 0-0 in the 2nd inning.

I don't need to. It was announced days ago that it is a 7:05 start.

Kieboom homers. Nats up 1-0 in the 4th. Joe Ross has given up just two hits. Oops three now on a Baez RBI double. All even at one.

I predict the score of today's 7:05 game will be 3-3 after 7 innings.

Tough loss in the end. I blame it on Davey for sending Doolittle back out for the tenth. He's such a bad manager. Joe Ross meanwhile looked decent, but more importantly somewhat healthy. It'll be important that he can step into Gio's old spot in the rotation next year. We'll need to find two other starters in any case, but it would be a huge plus if JR can come back as he was before being hurt. So now it's off to Atlanta on a down note. Good chance there will be more of those upcoming.

Even I can see that the combination of starting Joe Ross and three September call ups wasn't exactly a recipe for getting a win.

This season was lost before it began, between the hiring of a rookie manager, and the failure to address the obvious holes on the roster in the off-season.

Hey, baseball fans, try not to be a bunch of glum cunts for once in your lives, OK?

Hindsight is just a bright, shiny object.
