False News feeds the fears of the conservative reptile brain.

That conservatives tend to make fear based decisions & have far more difficulty dealing with complexity, introspection, and open mindedness.

Yes, it is the overwhelming fear of the other (immigrant, gay, what ever) that makes the conservative tick. And a perverse belief they are a hero.
