Panhandling is a tough gig. You weakling haters with your pansy-ass gym memberships wouldn't hold up well in that environment.
But most folks are nice enough out there. For every one that tries to look right through you as if you weren't even there, there will be one who can find the few seconds that it takes to roll down a window and give you a smile, a few kind words, and a buck or two to help you get by. There are even those who keep bottles of cold water in their cars to hand over to you. God love those people!

I volunteer 2 days a week with Wounded Warriors. I'm not saying every homeless panhandler out there is a vet with PTSD. But, they are out there. So are mentally disturbed people who are not vets.
