I think Jones was acquired by Comcast right around the same time.

Remember the $1.98 Beauty Contest? SuperTV was hot for a very short
period of time but I'll take the Playboy Channel anytime.
(I still have the SuperTV antenna in my attic)

Reston signed a franchise agreement with Jones in the 70's before FFCo signed with Media. Now they're stuck with Comcast,

Having been a customer of both Cox and Comcast, I would choose Comcast any day.
