The Walking Dead used to be a great show but what happened? It's literally painful to watch a full episode nowadays.

The show jumped the shark when they killed Hershel.

Why are there still so many walkers? Why are there still so many living?

In the first episode of the first season, it was clear that the dead to living ratio was maybe 1000:1. Not many survivors- it spread quickly. Through attrition (relentless killing of walkers by the living, loss by mishaps and decay) the number of walking dead at this point should be much fewer, and the number of living should be nearly nonexistent. Of the walkers that are still around, most should not be "fresh"; they should be in an advanced state of decay. Any gasoline should be too stale to run in cars.

The series fails to reflect this.

At one point the group was walking through a neighborhood and they'd been on the road for two years but the grass in the yards was neatly trimmed and the
shrubs too. Another trivial thing I've noticed is how they have full auto
rifles that never seem to run out of ammo.

You do realize this is a television entertainment program and not a documentary? Do you believe the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs?

The show should abide by the rules of nature, tempered by its own set of rules (the nature of walkers), but it does not. You don't see Star Trek's Enterprise doing warp 12 in a episode when in an earlier episode Scotty clearly laid out that warp 8.6 was the maximum that the ship could take before breaking up.
The relentless nihilism and lack of a fresh story line has worn out all but the most devoted fans. It stinks like week-old fish.

I totally agree. I used to anxiously wait for the next episode and now I’m bored. I think they totally turned me off with the Lucille bat beating Glenn and the red heaed guy. It was too gruesome and depressing.

Stopped watching after Glenn was killed. Negan was unbearable to watch for me. Terrible show after season 6.

Yes this past season has not been the best but I can see it being revived soon. Thered a new show runner and the last 3 episodes have been terrific. Also Fear The Walking Dead is on fire too.

I still like it but it’s not as great as the first 5 seasons. And it’s actually better to just binge watch it, instead of waiting a whole week for a new one. The story flows better when you can watch 3-4 episodes in a row.

I think it mostly started to decline after they got to Alexandria. Too many new characters all at once, ones you don’t really care about, and their plot lines become a distraction. And now you have the Negan and the Saviors, who are cool- but also The Kingdom (annoying characters), and the Garbage people (really annoying characters). Morgan is also silly and shouldn’t have as much screen time. If it mostly just focused on the main core of characters it would be much much better.

I like the Walking Dead so much my wife gave me a Michone sword for Christmas.

No, but the Michonne action figure by McFarlane Toys is among the most realistic I have ever seen- accurate to ever detail.

I thought FTWD was earlier on the timeline in the WD universe. I figured Morgan’s appearance on that show would explain where he was between episode 1 near Atlanta, and season 5 where he met Rick again in Alexandria.

I hope Gregory gets killed off soon. He is not a believable character to me.

The last few episodes were great but I really hope the writers make episodes more bloody as they did in the past and not cave to fans who think twd is a family show for fuck sakes

How long did it take them to get from Atlanta to Virginia? You want me to believe Morgan got from Atlanta to California, did his thing there, and got back to the East coast???? And the fact there was never any comment or from his time on the road?

The time between Rick leaving the hospital and their arrival at the gates of Alexandria is somewhere between 2 - 2 1/2 years.
