Green pods and cameras

Has anyone notice the green things with black bands around them, along the road on Fairfax Station. At first I though they were cable boxes, but then I saw some guy come and move one from one side of the road to the other. The appear to have cameras in them.

Actually found out what they are. They are security camera enclosures.. Anyone know why would have them set up down Fairfax Station road. Right along the road?

Could be some kind of traffic cam, even if not the online kind.
Could be counting various kinds of vehicles or something like that.

I think license plate readers are bigger.

They don't look like speeding/redlight ticket makers.

From their location, they don't look like wildlife cams.

The new license plate readers are much smaller than those clunky boxes on the rear of police cars. The new gen ones are integrated into the light bar.
