Burke station?

anybody know why burke station was built? It seems like a really odd place to put a train station, especially since it would have been in the middle of nowhere (before the subdivision of Burke was built).

So, Mr questions asked: When did screen names, all of a sudden ,
Require a name and a number?
Almost everyone here is douchebag 37 or some such.

Please don't mock my screen name. It is the only one I have and was given to me by my screen parents.

Burke Station was built to supply cattle and also cheese to the Union Troops during the civil war. It was burned by the French shortly after its construction.
