While Langley does have its share of alcohol and drug users, it is clearly not the majority of the student body and is probably not so much higher than the rest of FCPS other than the fact that may of the kids at Langley have money that the parents give them that can end up being spent on booze and drugs. So yes the Langley/McLean/Madison/Oakton and possibly Marshall crowd has more money available than maybe other schools for this stupid behavior.
It has a lot to do with the parents and how the kids are raised as well.
My crew is did well at Langley and is doing very well now that they are out of Langley.
Bright future for them, I do not need to worry.
Sure there are 7th and 8th graders smoking pot, taking pills and drinking. But the kid must have some real problems or really be stupid to be drunk at school, very obvious to even the unaware. Unfortunately an 8th grader going to school drunk is a train on a path to a wreck if the parents do not step in quickly and efficiently to solve this problem. Who know's it may already be too late.
A sad situation.
