This is nothing. I was on waters years ago with swells as high as 30 feet. You couldn't see a boat 1/4 mile ahead in the Gulf. The bow of the boat was going under water for almost 12 hours. I could have easily been swept overboard. Later I found out we were in a CAT 4 Hurricane. This is child's play.

It hasn't hit hard yet in our county but the power outage totals for DC MD AND VA are over 48000 and climbing
WTOP has a link with totals updated every 10 minutes.

Power is out in Burke, and sounds like a few objects hit my house. Have a bunch of larger trees in the yard as well. Hopefully one doesn't crash through while I'm at work

Went outside after hearing a thud. Picked up a branch in the street. The clouds moving very fast with the moon out creates a special effect I've never before seen.
I am amazed at how far the tall trees in our neighborhood sway without actually snapping apart. Wow the Federal Government is closed.

Holy Shit! On the way in to work my car was hit twice by falling limbs, I saw a tree get blown over. Then saw a power line get snapped. There are roof shingles on the ground and secondary roads are littered with debris. Do not go put if you can avoid it.

I recall hearing that a black hole was passing by earth at some great distance. I also heard that warm area entered the artic circle displacing cold air which has caused this wind cyclone. Also I read that the winds surrounding a black hole are 20 million miles per hour, strong enough to shred a passing star. Perhaps these wind redirected or blew more solar radiation (heat) into the artic circle.
