Arlington pushed all their poor to south arlington. If that isn't shitty I don't know what is.
At least in Ffx you will see poor people mostly scattered about the county, not just all in one section of it.
Any poor who try to move north of lee highway or any county projects for low income housing in north arlington get "NIMBY'd" by the rich homeowners of north arlington.
It would be like every poor person in Ffx county was forced to live on Route 1 and no poor could be in Reston or anywhere else.
Literally a north vs south divide. Look @ the schools in south arlington vs north arlington if you don't believe me.

My apologies, route 50 is the divide in Arlington.
Go on city-data or any of those forums and they will all advise people to move to north arlington because 'the darkies" all live in south arlington - in PC terms/coded language.
Sad. For being the county just outside DC and they divide people like this.

They would have just gotten more administrators for the schools and not given the teachers raises that are sorely needed and hired more special education. math, and science teachers, got new instruments for the bands and orchestras, gave theater and art classes a bigger budget (we need arts too!) fix maintenance issues in the schools, maybe even had a few pizza parties for the kids.
Nope, the meals tax money would have went in the admin's pockets and they would have asked for a $38k raise like what happened in Louisiana recently (the teacher who got dragged out the meeting and arrested).
