IDK. I think its a good idea to charge him. William Ball was obviously trying to escalate the situation, so there should be consequences.

My question is how often are the police charging people with this infraction? Are musicians exempt from this charge if they perform in va?
My feelings about this law have nothing to do this incident. Both were idiots; the yuppy just got caught using the vulgarities.
I somehow doubt this law is enforced on the regular. I know there was a man who left a profanity laced voice mail for the VA attorney general mark herring a few years ago, and they charged him with this offense.
There's no way if someone challenged this in court that it would stand as constitutional...
