Speed cameras on the Beltway in MD go operational July 19th

MDOT says they will issue a ticket for 12 over the posted limit as per state law. Good to know I can drive 11 over without a ticket.

Of course, once commuters realize there's cameras at that work zone, they will slow down to 35mph like all the idiots do in the 395 tunnel and on New York Avenue.

They should have speed cameras that work the opposite way, ticketing you if you're driving too slow.

Maryland uses of Poliscans, it's hard to jam but 3 ALPs take care of them. I can JTG them all day with no problems.

If you want to take a glimpse of one, head west on route 5 from clinton, and just under the beltway you will see a white Ford Explorer. That is the what roving camera cars look like
