Rolling Thunder is a protest ride. In the ride's history they have NEVER applied for a permit and have never been issued one...#BecauseProtest.

In the spirit of good and proper revolutionaries, you don't seek permission from the authority to protest. You just protest. The RT leadership coordinates with Capitol Police and other authorities to ensure a smooth event but, they do not apply for a permit from anybody for this event.

That being said...it's still absurd that a bunch of brothers ride through National Harbor and disrupt traffic for 10 minutes and you racist assholes are clutching your pearls and want to start lynching them. Hell, the last time I checked, the consensus here was National Harbor is an undesirable destination for whites due to its diversity. A bunch of white dudes shut down Constitution Avenue and Independence Avenue for FOUR hours and y'alls are good...
