When it comes to plumbing, mechanical and electrical in older and larger houses like this, it is funny how people want $50 Million for a house that looks good but on the underside is basically crap. Rarely do people that own houses like these actually properly upgrade and keep up the mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
Antiquated systems or update end pieces and connected to old and tired infrastructure.
Usually these homeowners just patch together what is there without a comprehensive view to the big picture. These are small commercial buildings at the end of the day, not your average house.
I would guess there is at least 1 or more A/C unit that has a problem per season. Not to include all the problems with other systems.
