My kid caught me tokin' up one night. Fed me a bunch of shit about, "How can I listen to you and obey you when you smoke that shit yourself?" So, now we get high as a family, in the safety of our home...

I would rather my kid smoke weed then drink.
He smokes too much, he fell asleep on the couch with a bag of cheetos.
He drinks too much, who knows what will happen. DUI, etc. (yes i know it can happen with weed too but more likely with alcohol).
Plus he will wake up well rested.
Drinking- well lets just say I still remember my first hangover and my dad making me clean up the puke and washing all the carpets in the house since i got it everywhere, then i had to do yardwork in weather like today (90 degrees and humid) all day.
I never drank heavy like that again.
He did let me drive the riding lawnmower and gave me one beer as "hair of the dog" and lots of gatorade so he wasn't a total monster about it. I was not punished past the yardwork for the day but I learned that day!!
