Good. I know of some Govt employees who work on site, maybe, once a week. It's absolutely ridiculous and there is no recourse if they do not meet basic goals and expectations.

Most all of them already have offices or workspace.

If the Govt ran like a business with actual benchmarks and goals that it's employees had to make.... not much at all. As a matter of fact the Govt could probably release some space after cutting some of the fat that sucks off its nipple.

I can confirm that all employees will be forced to work from their designated office locations from now on. No more telecommuting, per Presidente Trump (Hail Trump!).

Nope, nope, nope...I'm a grant monitor. 80% of my job is reading...countless pages. When I'm in the office, I don't get shit done because I get all these fucking chatty millenials who can't do shit for themselves asking me how to run the copier, make coffee, where supplies are, what are the regs on this, what are the regs on that. Naw, dawg...fuck all that. When I work from home, I am 10 times more productive than in the office. I shut my phone off for 7 hours a day and file daily reports and peer review summaries weekly. My time, my work product and my value to the division are well documented and I have 17 years of positive annual performance reviews.

Plus you are close to Arthur Treacher's so you can easily go out and grab some fish and chips for lunch instead of having to eat at a shitty food truck.

Telework serves a number of purposes. One, it takes teleworkers out of the commuting scrum so everyone else has an easier time on metro, the bus, or driving on congested roadways. Two, teleworkers are not in the office adding to the HVAC burden, flushing toilets, using electricity, etc. Small savings per worker, multiplied by a couple of million employees, result in significant savings for the government, and, therefore, for the taxpayers. Last, don't knock the food trucks, they are among the crown jewels of the region, assuming you know which ones to patronize.

As for food trucks...I only risk food poisoning from eateries with a physical address. When I mail a bag of shit to them in return, I want to make sure it gets there...

Arthur Treacher's would make a fantastic food truck concept, though...You could do some kind of skipjack/fishing boat theme, with a 60" screen on the back showing old Jeeves/Wooster films.

I found free wi-fi today, so I was able to appear as if I was working from home. In reality, I was working from a nice, comfy booth over at the Fairfax Circle Arthur Treacher's. Enjoying, of course, a nice platter of hot fish and chips with a side of cole slaw. The Fanta machine was broken, so I had to settle for water, but it was still amazing. I love teleworking! One of my government worker neighbors is home so often I though that he'd already retired years ago. lol
