President Trump surprised a lot of Democrats with his welcoming speech tonight.

Ex-Kentucky Governor offered nothing but threats, fear, and opposition.

Rank and file Democrats will eventually abandon their leadership.

#1 goal of Pelosi and Schumer: Impeach. Which won't happen in a Republican Congress.

#2 goal: None.

But so many of Trump's leadership are too rich. Wannnnhhhh.

Former president Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have signed with Penguin Random House, according to a press release. The news followed a bidding war that reportedly exceeded $60 million for publishing rights to both their books.

Bill Clinton only got $45 million.

Barack Obama is getting closer to making his public reappearance in politics, his friend and former Attorney General Eric Holder said on Tuesday.

Holder said he’s been talking to the former president about ways — including fundraising and interacting with state legislators — that could help the new National Democratic Redistricting Committee, which Obama asked Holder to chair last year.

“It’s coming. He’s coming,” Holder said, speaking to reporters at a briefing for the new group. “And he’s ready to roll.”

Throughout, Holder said, Obama “will be a more visible part of the effort.”

Trump delivered his speech to an audience of scowling Democrats who rarely clapped at his proposals, but Republicans, who for the first time in eight years listened to a GOP president address Congress, there was palpable excitement.

"We saw a leader tonight calling the tune," said Rep. Todd Rokita, R-Indiana.

Trump said in his speech: "Governor Matt Bevin of Kentucky just said Obamacare is failing in his State -- it is unsustainable and collapsing."

Coincidentally (?), the Democrat response speech was given by Bevin’s predecessor, Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear, who was picked to give the Democrat response in part because he claimed that Obamacare was a success in Kentucky.

As soon as the speech ended, a lot of Democrats ran for the doors, apparently to go hide in their offices, as none were seen being interviewed on any of the TV stations.
