This is what I saw today on the intersection of Rt 50 and Waples Mill Rd. Thought it was funny.

Jesus Christ, even for a weekend-warrior that guy's a fucking disgrace. Sandals and a hot cup of Starbuck's on a bike that's a roof away from being called a mini-van. I bet that bike does everything short of wipe his ass for him. Just buy a Civic while you're at it.

I don't ride,let me make that clear.

But I can't imagine that other bikers take people like this seriously.

Who the fuck drinks coffee while riding a motorcycle?

Anyway, I was on 95n this morning doing 80mph and some biker passed between me and another car like we were sitting still, and was weaving between the three lanes. About ten minutes later I saw him pulled over by a trooper and was being led to the police car. Looks like jail time for that guy!

Blessed are the murderous.

+1 That bike is a fucking joke. And no, real bikers laugh at douches like that. I just emailed that pic to a buddy who is a biker and he said he'd like to punch his lights out, just out of principle.

Speaking about retarded bikes...

Anybody ever seen pics of the BMW bikes with the roofs on them? They look like that thing Mr. Garrison made on South Park.

Even though that pic shows a helmet, in Europe riders are exempt from wearing a helmet if they have that model BMW.

Pretty gay, but not as gay as the Peugeot scooters I saw over there....

As a rider I find that horrible. I'm not perfect, but I'd never be seen on my bike in sandals.

I'm sure those bikes are great for long hauls, but I think they are a joke to have around here.

All bikes are jokes. It's usually fat white people with cop 'staches who are trying too hard to look badass with their extra loud exhaust, super chrome package 2000, leather chaps while carrying a nasty looking meth head for a chick who's wearing acid washed jeans that are 3 sizes too small.

Nobody wants to see that crap. Buy a car and keep those windows rolled up.

I ride a sport bike, and I cant stand these Harley Faggots. There is a term used in the sport bike community for people like this who wear sandals, shorts, wife beaters while riding..."SQUIDS" because thats what the look like when they are splattered all over the road. This guy looks like such a rookie.

Agreed, the secret wave is fucking retarded. How gay is it to say "hey, we both have motorcycles" Do Harley owners know this is common with Prius drivers?

What a coincidence with over 1 million FFx residents that 2 own donorcycles.

What's really a joke is someone riding a bike used to be a badass. Now when you see a Harley type it's usually a fat soccer-dad in major debt or a dentist with lots of cash. Not much in between. Very different in the South & West.

The bike pictured is not a Harley. The percentage of sport bike riders that are complete douchebags is much higher than that of Harley riders.

From what I've read, because the Tomahawk has four wheels it can't technically be put into the motorcycle class, as they have two wheels. However, I agree with you 100% that that is one bad motherfucker. With close to 600hp, they don't have an official topspeed (probably because they have to find the right lunatic to test it), but I understand that they plan on taking it out on the Salt Flats at some point.

I vaguely remember it has a "theoretical" top speed of 250-300 mph. In reality, any street cycle no matter it's torque, weight, cc's, etc., can't break though 190ish based solely on aerodynamics. You need a stretched, missile shaped one to break through past 200.

It's very important to wear a color-coordinated sports bike outfit when you ride. Otherwise, people might not think you ride a sport bike.

Then you're not a real sports biker. Everybody knows that you have to have a racing suit to ride a sports bike. Sort of like you need a faggoty spandex outfit to ride a bicycle.

It protects from road vibration and micro-impacts, dontcha know.

Well, I am moving to ffx 1 oct. I am from Oklahoma and I have ridden a bike or one kind or another all my life. I currently ride a loud cruiser, It is my only mode of transportation by choice. I love riding. I recently spent 10 days in nova on my house hunting trip and I did notice that very few people ride bikes around there. They are very common here in the midwest.

Leave your loud-ass bike in the midwest. There is no reason for you to be riding a noisy look-at-me-mobile in densely populated Fairfax County.

It might be awesome to all the guys down at the feedmill in Oklahoma, but you're just going to piss all your neighbors off around here.

Also, the adage that "loud pipes save lives" is completely moot in this county. This is an aggressive place. In fact, the loudness might actually make you more of a target, and I'm not even kidding.

The hostility is not towards motorcyclists, its towards those who choose ridiculously loud, irritating bikes without any real thought about how all that noise might affect others.

Also, just to clue you in, the hostility towards bicyclists is due to their frequently not obeying the rules of the road, being hostile towards car drivers, slowing down drivers while cycling in auto lanes, rarely giving any consideration at all to those around them, etc.

(BTW, I am a bicyclist and a motorcyclist)

You're assuming that every nerd is trying to validate himself by fantasizing about riding a "bike".

But since you ride a bike, you are too slow to figure out that everyone here is TRASHING the biker, because riding a bike is stupid and only contributes to the profits of hospitals and nursing homes.

Yeah, nursing homes aren't only populated by old people. Legions of bikers are now proudly living in nursing homes after the inevitable results of slamming into pavement at high speeds wearing nothing more than ABS plastic and styrofoam on their heads.

The function of conservatives is not to meet every liberal program or scheme with a denunciation or a destructive counterscheme, but rather to weigh its advantages and defects, supporting the first and challenging the second. A declaration of ideological warfare against liberalism is by its nature profoundly unconservative. It meets perceived radicalism with a counterradicalism of its own.

If you really were a bicyclist you would know there's know such thing as an "auto lane" Every cyclist is entitled to take or share a lane under 50 mph. It's in the code (in most states) and the DMV even has a plate with the "share the road" logo.

I know of only 2 bike lanes in NoVA - Lawyers Road for 2 miles and Dranesville Road for about 1 mile. All lanes of traffic (except for those on limited-access roads), according to Virginia law, are available for cyclists to use at will.

Its actually a lot different than saying a Honda S200 can beat a Continental... Because my bike will smoke 99.9% of the cars on the road. Including ferrari's Lambo's. It is definitely fun smokin a douche that just spent 200 grand on his car.. GOD i love it

WTF is your point? It's not exactly rocket science to build a sport bike that can "smoke" just about every car on the road. You're comparing a 500ish lb. vehicle with a 3000ish lb. (that's on the low side) vehicle. Even a middle-of-the-road sport bike will have a lb/hp advantage over cars in general.

Then you and one-nut "Lance Armstrong" explain why bicyclists get so much hate? If you're all law abiding citizens that never slow everyone else down, why would you get so much flack? Have some self-awareness.

And I never said anything about it being legal or otherwise to cycle in auto lanes. I said you piss people off because you slow them down, not that your presence was illegal. The illegal part is the blowing of stop signs and whatnot..

And yes, I am a cyclist, but I live in DC where car drivers are the fucked ones :D

Also lols to all the "important events" you are "training for". I just like riding my bicycle and being healthy. Self-important much?

No. Riding a motorcycle is fun, but it's just not worth the risk.

Maybe if I could just do it on a dedicated track or something, for thrills, I'd be okay with it.

But riding a motorcycle on public roadways just seems really retarded to me. Just as retarded as riding a bicycle on public roads. Or the idiot I saw on Old Dominion today, riding some gay-ass tricycle that was about 3 feet tall. He was "smart" enough to have a little flashing led light on the back, but what was he going to expect would happen when some driver going 40 mph while talking on a cell phone came around one of the curves and found him 20 feet from his bumper?

Fuck! Cops get killed on the shoulder of the highway while pulling people over! And these self-important fucks think that just because it's legal to do, that means everyone else is going to understand that, respect that, and compensate for that?

My "vitriol" towards motorcycles isn't because I think bike riders are assholes. It's because it's just way too dangerous to be riding a bike in this area.

Maybe out in Utah or Nevada or some other sparsely populated area with little traffic, maybe that's okay.

But to ride a two wheel contraption (motorized or not) on public roads in this area is just suicidal.

Someone once described a full-dress GoldWing like this one as a "Hondabago -- sleeps six".

Beats a cage but not by much...

Because we're multi-season athletes who are publicly visible while motorists (who are mostly fat and lazy, but not all), tripping all over themselves, are busy going nowhere slowly - caused by your fellow motorists - doh! You're just jealous.

Other cars and traffic lights slow down motorists a million times more frequently than cyclists; get over yourselves.

Yes, blowing stop signs is illegal. What is whatnot?

Unfortunately, there are no known photos from the incident on the side of the highway were it mysteriously burst into flames and completely immolated itself.

But it has been reported that this was the last known fiero ever produced, and like all other fieros, it, too, burned up on the side of the road.

That's very impressive. I'm sure Nam vets run and hide when you do wheelies.
Sooner or later one of those "hardasses" will be scraping out off the pavement
or digging you out of someones radiator. Or, would you rather be a hood ornament?

Nice Goldwing. Those are sweet bikes. Buddy of mine rode one across country one year.

You can get a shit load of women with that bike. They like the "rumble vibrating seat" with the chair back. A GL1000 can really get a woman off.

Goldwing == Hondabago. Sleeps six.

(No, I didn't make that up, though I wish I did; it's from one of the mainstream motorcycle mags, quite possibly Rider, in the 1980s.)
