The deer have been living in Fairfax County long before we were here. We owe it to them to help them through the winter.

Bullshit, you faggot libtard! Deer do not live 250 years. There are more deer here now than ever in history, and I've lived here longer than any of them Go kill yourself if you value deer more than humans.

As much as I love venison, I cannot bring myself to shoot a deer.

Squirrel, possum, birds, rabbits, any other small game is fair game to me. Especially when I am hungry.

Not deer though.

I think Bambi fucked me for life.

Those deer in the first 2 pics are a prime example of deer over population, and the reason the herds need to be culled.

Loss of habitat, and food sources cause starvation and disease of the deer.

Organized hunts to cull the herds will make the deer more healthy, and end the starvation.

This is not bullshit:

Deer are ruminants. They do not have acid in their stomachs. They rely on microbial colonies in their guts to digest the food they eat and release the nutrients into their systems.

These microbial colonies are specialized and individual types of microbes compete. In a natural balance where there is time for these colonies to adjust as for the changes in season, the deer fare well. Feeding deer results in an unnatural domination of the types of microbes that digest the grains and other components of deer feed, leading to imbalances that leaves them incapable of digesting other forage should their supply of deer feed be cut off.

Deer are regularly found dead of starvation with ribs showing through (as in OP's pictures) with bellies full of forage they could not digest because their microbial colonies were capable of digesting only corn.

And another thing: Deer feed is usually put out in piles. That causes deer to pass saliva/mucous to one another. Sharing these fluids is not normal for them (deer do not kiss), and this kind of contact results in epidemics of chronic wasting disease (CWD). CWD is similar to mad cow disease, CJD, and Kuru.

Just import a few sasquatch families and a couple of cougars. Deer population will quickly return to it's natural balance.

In this region most of the sasquatch seem to be in Maryland, especially around Laurel and Anne Arundel County.

Thank you. This is correct. Don't fucking feed the deer. They do just fine no matter how harsh the winter is.

Wrong.. Go out to Bull Run Park. The Park Service makes hay during the summer and feeds it to deer in the winter. I suppose they are trying to kill the deer? Probably not.

Wasting disease isn't called by deer eating together.

No one knows what causes CWD in deer. Google the causes there are none .

Those two deer in the photo just need to be corn fed for a month or 6 weeks to make some fine venison. Been doing it for years.

Soybeans and Alfapha put the fat on to,if ya out of corn. Corn makes the fat nice and white and the meat with a better taste however.

Kinda like Spring Lamb tender and juicy.

you'd need a freezer, at $800 one catch will not pay for what you need to store the catch

you would have to trap it, you cannot use anything that might injure children

but it's not illegal

October 1 through November 18: Statewide.

you best hurry you ass or stock up on beans
