Best hush puppies in Fairfax?

I don't even know where to get decent ones, but figured some old-timers here might. Where would you go?

Actually sort of a new place, the ABC Canteen at Fairfax Circle, in the old Arthur Treacher's, makes some kickass hush puppies!

The menu is a little eclectic, with fish and chips as well as some Mexican stuff, but all of it is very good.

Those were good! They wanted you to eat those so you would get full. I used to go to that place twice a week for the all you can eat seafood. Wish it was still around.

Check out ABC Canteen in Fairfax Circle (formerly Arthur Treachers). I know it doesn't look that nice but the food is good.

Golden Corral has them but closest location is unfortunately in PG. I think the recipe can be found online. We need a local Bojangles too. The food court location in Union Station is out of the way and overrun by tourists.

I think they're pretty easy to make, if you have a fryer:
yellow cornmeal
flour
powder
salt
egg
milk
onion

If you're jonesin', might be worth buying one of those small fryers...

There is also a Golden Corral in Manassas. You're right we need some Bojangles out here. There are about 8 of them in PG County.

GB, I did ...The Chili's at the Jefferson Theater was one of the first franchise units....I still miss CBSH though.

I use this mix but fry them in pure bacon grease at about 170 degrees. They come out great!!
