The owner of that car is doing really well now. I saw him a few years ago at the 25th Reunion.

He and some other kids painted it up nicely, right? I didn't help with that but

I did ride around in it before and after the "unique" paint job.

Actually, we rode around the track at Homecoming right after the paint job.

To be honest, we looked like something right out of Revenge of the Nerds.

But, hey, at least we got some attention.

That car was FAST.

I am lucky I made it through my teenage years.

16 is too young to give boys a driver's licence. LOL.

LOL!!! Good memories! I had a "rice mobile" Toyota. It sufficed and held up well. Kids nowadays have their fancy up-to-date cars while we drove the 8-cylinder, no seatbelts, gas guzzling "death machines"! At least gas prices then were under a $1 so we could drive anywhere anytime without bitching about paying for gas.

I never went to any of the reunions. I'm trying to remember if you were in any of my classes though. I can remember the hot females in my class but hardly any guys.

This. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be hated from the moment I'm born based on my skin color and the neighborhood which my parents can afford to live. Luckily, I've grown up with the privilege of most of the people on this post and have never had to feel such hatred every day.

I would be very proud if the Mount Vernon Majors took the knee to peacefully protest against something that needs to change on this country and that affects their lives on a daily basis.
