I have no problem with this. Why would anyone care if you took a picture of a parking lot?

Also, you being unable to get work done at home sounds like a personal problem. The rest of us are able to manage it just fine.

You sound angry and bitter. Sorry your life sucks.

Hi there. Quite often, teachers arrive at school around 4:30 in the morning. Of course this isn't the rule for everyone, but a good percentage do arrive in that time frame, and most are at school by 6:00.

Do you remember high school? Not sure how many AP or honors classes you took (who knows, it could have been a whole bunch), but teachers grade projects and papers and tests at home, which is a fairly time intensive job.

Please consider the fact that the teacher's day starts at the very latest around 8:00, and if you're working a 9:00 to 5:00, that's an hour before your job starts. For middle and high school teachers, it's even earlier.

Also consider that FCPS teachers only make slightly more than half the median Fairfax County income. A good percentage work second jobs to stay afloat.

So yeah, teachers have gone home by the time you pass the school, but they also start earlier. Your argument is analogous to saying that because someone who works an earlier shift isn't still working when you go home, they aren't working as hard as you.

I'm on my way home from work, why aren't you still working? Huh?

I have to admit that as a PE teacher I love rolling out of the parking lot as soon as the busses are gone while most of the teachers are working an hour or two late

Teachers are so full of shit. Every year it's the same sob story and pity party. The crazy thing is that the city councils lap it up and cave every year while the other departments get the shaft. Teachers say they do it for the love of the kids, but then bitch to no end about how hard it is and how broke they are. Fuck right off.

I see a fair amount of teacher's cars in the lots most afternoons-

They are tutoring out of a rent free classroom at $75/hour!

So report it. They are not allowed to tutor for $ while in the school building per FCPS policy.

Those who can't, teach. Those who can't teach, teach gym.
